Countdown: 14 days
after much frustration i somewhat figured this blog thing out. O, the days of old, when things were all much simpler!
today is day mark #14. like a little kid, I made a paper chain to countdown the days until I leave...on each one I put a Bible verse. Today's verse is: "'...your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.' Then I hear the voice of the Lord saying 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said 'Here am I. Send me!'" (Is.6:8)
I'm a slacker and the only packing preparations I've made are buying medium sized shampoo/conditioner and herbal remedies to help my plane ride be less tortuous. But I think I have everything I need. Oh and I also have begun to make a small storage of life-saving 'normal' food to take with me. I absolutely love thai food...but know i will have cravings for more normal things...i.e. cheese.
my high points today were finally trying Kings Bakery on Mission and 25th, it was sooo yummy and going to the main library to browse...always much fun!
